Hello people! I just got back about two weeks ago from a trip to NYC, it was the first time I'd ever been there, and it was amazing!!! I'm posting the 'summary' of the trip that I emailed to my friends... I hope you enjoy it! (Michael is my brother)
Our plane landed in Newark, NJ and then we took a taxi to our hotel, a Holiday Inn on West 47th Street. We hung out in our hotel room, which had two double beds, a chair, a desk, a tv, a closet, a counter with a sink, and a bathroom. After staying there for about an hour we went to Central Park and got lunch from the vendors and then walked around for FOUR HOURS!!! It was really pretty, and we saw a lot of neat stuff like the Alice in Wonderland statue, and where they were setting up to film Spider-Man 3, but it was waaaaaay too much walking in my opinion, especially since my mom made me wear my tennis shoes which I hadn't worn in two months so my feet started hurting after like half an hour. That's about all we did on Thursday. On Friday we woke up and went to Rockefeller Center where the Good Morning America musical guests perform, and we watched (sort of) for a little bit, but we were too far back to see very well... Then we left and went to the Empire State Building and got tickets for that and Michael did this virtual tour of NYC while the rest of us just sat and waited. When he finished that, then we all went up to the observation deck and looked around. It was pretty neat, it was a nice day, so you could see pretty far out. Later, after resting at the hotel for a while, my mom and I went to this TKTS place and got tickets for Forbidden Broadway that night. Then we met my dad and Michael at the Museum of Modern Art. That was pretty cool. After that we had 'supper' at this cheesecake place, and the cheesecake wasn't anything amazing, but oh well. We went back to the hotel to relax and change for Forbidden Broadway. We went to that and it was really really good! It was in this little tiny theater, but it was really well done. It was a musical that made fun of all the other shows on Broadway. On Saturday, we woke up and took a taxi to the Gershwin Theater to go to the Behind the Emerald Curtain tour. It was a tour given by two current Wicked cast members, and told about Wicked and the people behind it and the theater and stuff like that. There was a 'museum' that had original costumes and set pieces that you could look at and take pictures of. It was soooooo amazing!!! After that we went to this Nintendo World store... I thought it was boring, but Michael loved it... Go figure... We stayed there for almost an hour then my mom and I went to the American Girl Place. It was really cool! They had all the dolls dressed up and on display. I bought a purse there, then we met up with my dad and Michael again at the Sony museum. It was an interactive museum... and it was really boring... Then we went back to the hotel and went up on the roof to go swimming. It was neat, but the pool was freezing cold, so I only stayed in for about 5 minutes. For supper we went to an Italian place, and the food was pretty good, then for dessert they had chocolate mousse, and it was the most amazing thing I've ever eaten... It was soooooo good! On Sunday we got to sleep in, then we rode the Staten Island Ferry. We saw the Statue of Liberty. Then we went to Ground Zero and met up with my mom's friend Stacy. We took a taxi to the Life Cafe in Alphabet City and had lunch. It was pretty good, and I was happy. I bought two t-shirts there. Then we went to FAO Schwarz because it was too hot to walk around outside. It was really neat, and had tons of over-priced toys. Then we went back to the hotel for awhile until suppertime. We had supper at a Thai place and I had egg rolls. They were good. On Monday we didn't really do too much, just walked around and went to different little stores. I found this little Broadway store that sold Broadway souveniers. It was really cute! My mom and I went to a little chocolate store and bought chocolate... It's really yummy! The big thing on Monday was RENT. It was the most amazing thing I have ever seen! The actors/actresses were so full of enthusiasm and looked like they were having the times of their lives up there. It was spectacular! I could go on forever about it, but that would take up a lot of room... We left the next day, and I guess I'm glad to be home, even though NYC was sooo much fun. It's nice to have my own room, and a bed that I don't fall out of because Michael is a bed hog. It was a really fun trip, and I hope you enjoyed reading about it.

All voices,
a chorus screaming your name.
But open your eyes
no one sees you.
Or hears,
What to do then?
The colors are only a dream.
What’s left is the black.
